I have over 20 years of experience in the cartography/GIS industry. My expertise includes system engineering for integration of GIS software, geodatabase design and management, and direct application of GIS and Cartographic tools to produce and manage production of a variety of products.
I am not a software developer; however, I worked as a system engineering team leader at Lockheed Martin on various contracts, proposals, and Research and Development projects. This work included development of requirements, operations concepts, and architectures for integration of GIS software and data. In addition, I have extensive experience working directly with ArcGIS products, including ArcSDE and SQL Server. I have managed teams of Cartographers, and I have provided quality control for cartographic and GIS database products.
I worked as a geodatabase manager for the US Army Europe in Schwetzingen, Germany in 2006/2007. While living in Heidelberg I took lessons in the German language. While I am only a beginner with the language, I am very interested in continuing to advance my language skills.
In 2008 I opened my own business (Cloud Peak GIS, LLC) in Worland, Wyoming, USA, but I am very interested in returning to Europe to work for a company that is on the leading edge of technology.
