The iPhone Atlas has rumor from a pre-release build of iPhone OS 2.0, currently in the hands of selected developers and beta testers to include a new live location tracking feature that will automatically track the user’s current location in the Maps application on a persistently updating basis.
3 questions came up with this (definitly nifty) feature:
- Have seen the very same on Blackberry
- Do I want to persistently know my location? Probably not.
- How do they locate offsite spots like Times Square, NY?
